Dr. Nguyen has been an associate of the practice since Fall of 2009.  She graduated from Howard University College of Dentistry in the top 5 percent of her class, receiving the summa cum laude honor.  Prior to dental school, Dr.  Nguyen worked in the dental field for years, assisting and working as an office manager at Abel Phan and Associates for one year.  After considering a career in dentistry, she went on an Operation Smile mission trip to Vietnam with Dr. Abel in 2004.  The mission convinced her to enroll in dental school.  Now, Dr. Nguyen works at the practice part-time on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Her favorite part of her job is working with young children.

    Dr. Nguyen is still actively involved with Operation Smile, and she led a mission trip to Vietnam in 2009.  Like Dr. Abel and Dr. Phan, she has helped to arrange fundraising events for Operation Smile and Hope for Tomorrow.  Dr. Nguyen also volunteers at Northern Virginia Community College in an effort to provide dental care to low income patients.

In her spare time, Dr. Nguyen likes spending time with her husband and nieces and nephews.  She also loves traveling to the beach and to Vietnam.
