The Invisalign oral aligners, used for straightening teeth instead of braces, are accurately designed based on your custom digital impressions/models. We have also leveraged technology to make it as effortless as possible for treatment to stay on track. Good candidates for Invisalign^® will be asked to download the free MyInvisalign app. This app may be used in conjunction with a special attachment (or “lens”), as well as a cheek retractor, devices that facilitate the capturing of images of teeth throughout treatment. In this manner, periodic “virtual” visits are supported. Once the images are submitted, Dr. Abel or Dr. Phan will review them and provide the patient with “next steps” as appropriate. They may be “on track” and told to proceed as usual without any changes. Or, patients may be provided with special instructions and asked to make adjustments in, for instance, wear time and the number of aligners required for treatment.
