What is home whitening treatment like?
We know our patients who undergo in-office whitening want to maintain those dazzling results. Likewise, some patients may prefer a more gradual method. Whatever the case may be, treatment generally involves making special whitening trays or oral appliances. These appliances are designed to fit your mouth. They are made precisely from impressions of your mouth. We will show you exactly how to wear and care for these appliances during treatment. You will also be provided with clinically proven effective, safe, and highly concentrated peroxide-based whitening gels. Simply fill the trays with the gel and wear the gels as instructed by your dentist. The specific “wear time” depends on factors such as the extent of staining that is present and your history of or concerns about sensitivity. You will continue to wear the trays until your desired level of improvement or whitening has been achieved.
How can I keep these great results?
One thing you can do is to maintain regular hygiene appointments. These appointments include professional cleanings to remove surface stains, preventing them from building up on your teeth.
